As a member of ASEAN, Myanmar had signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Tourism Cooperation and actively participated in the meetings and other activities of ASEAN. Similarly, Myanmar had signed Tourism Cooperation Agreements with Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. In addition, Sister Cities (Bagan and Siem Reap) had been signed for closer links between the two world famous cultural heritage sites in Myanmar and Cambodia. Myanmar is also a regular participant in the meeting of Greater Mekong Sub-Region Cooperation, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam (CLMV) and BIMST-EC (Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand) tourism cooperation. Under the arrangement of Myanmar-Singapore Joint Ministerial Working Committee, (JMWC), Myanmar has received technical assistance from Singapore Tourism Board in Human Resource Development and Master Plan.
